Whoa! This years Grindworks jam at HCS skatepark was a wild one. It typically goes off, but this year was particularly intense. Epic riding going down, car parts everywhere, and a piano sub-box out of a satellite dish! Aside from all of the crazy obstacles that Derek Nelson dreams in his pursuit of awesomeness, there were SUVs getting smashed up and drift cars getting jumped. A true upstate NY style jam and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
The BMX community in and around central New York has been really strengthened in recent years. I think this can definitely be credited to Grindworks along with some crews and other more major companies. I’ve seen a rise in passion and drive to get out on a bike and have a great time. It really feels like everyone makes the effort to make it to the jams and just have a good time and the people putting on the jams are giving it their all to make it happen. It’s just a really great thing to see. Thanks to everyone at Grindworks and Derek Nelson for making it a great day! I hope you can see just how wild the day really was.
