This is awesome to see! Oregon is home to some infamous concrete parks, and Portland proper is best known for Burnside, but now they have a new 33,000 square-foot BIKE friendly park in the works as well. Even more exciting is that the developers are asking for opinions on the two design options. PDX local and backyard pool maestro Dean Dickson had this to say… “Portland is getting a world-class, bike-friendly, 33,000-square-foot skatepark that will be mostly covered and lit. Collectively, we’ve been advocating for this project for more than 20 years, and it’s exciting to see it becoming a reality!
Dreamland and Grindline Skateparks are currently collaborating on the design. I’ve already shared my input as a member of Skaters for Portland Skateparks and as a member of the Project Advisory Committee, but I’d love to see as many bmx voices represented as possible.”
