Daniel comes from a place called Klagenfurt, which is a mid-sized town in Austria bordering Slovenia (not Slovakia) and Italy. This makes Daniel “technically” an Austrian. However, due to the amount of time he has spent with us, Ljubljana (capital of Slovenia) locals, and all the slick Slovenian phrases he’s picked up during this time, which he’d now randomly slip into conversations, it wouldn’t be completely off if you called him Slovenian beaver instead.
