On July 12, 2026, the monumental backdrop of the former steel mill in Duisburg’s Landschaftspark will be transformed into an impressive BMX street course. The Red Bull Trickschmiede combines the industrial DNA of the Ruhr region with the technical precision of the BMX world. Unique obstacles, designed specifically for the competition and reflecting the Ruhr region’s character, have been built to blend seamlessly with the steel mill’s backdrop.

The field of riders is led by Garrett Reynolds. With 16 gold medals, he holds the record at the X Games—the Olympics of action sports—and is internationally regarded as one of the most influential figures in BMX. The lineup is rounded out by other luminaries: Spain’s Courage Adams, the world record holder for the longest manual wheelie, impresses with his technical precision. Equally impressive is Greece’s George Ntavoutian with his dynamic and explosive riding style, which he most recently demonstrated with a spectacular jump between two boats.

The German Scene: Hosts and a Star-Studded Lineup

The Red Bull Trickschmiede is hosted by local hero and BMX legend Bruno Hoffmann. Rounding out the German contingent are renowned BMX riders Felix Prangenberg and Kilian Roth. As world-class athletes, they underscore the relevance of the German BMX community on the global stage.

A Pioneering Presence of the Women’s BMX Scene

Prominent international female riders round out the starting lineup for the Red Bull Trickschmiede. With Linda Grabner (Austria), Wibke Vogel (Germany), Bethany Hedrick (USA), and Emma Finnegan (UK), four athletes will take to the course who are playing a key role in shaping the current evolution of BMX.
