Stoked to see this hit the web and put a proper and decorative period on Jon Schimpf’s always aesthetic Jib series. Anyone paying attention to anything related to east coast street riding already knows what’s good. Brb, watching it again.
“everyone can relate to running late on things. some times “life happens” where you get really busy and a project that you hoped to have finished earlier gets repeatedly pushed back. in my case, life almost didn’t continue to happen, so i’m proud to roll out my final jib tape project.

filmed 2018 – 2022. 17 minutes and 22 seconds runtime. upscaled resolution from 960 x 720px to 2880 x 2158px (1.0). vbr 2-pass 40 (target) – 60 (max) mbps to combat the youtube algo. found footage used for the savesies cones in the opening as well as the two philadelphia themed interludes used in the video (1. cream cheese + 2. “wooder” vs “water”). the first interlude, the philadelphia cream cheese “are you a big softy?” was a kraft television advertisement from the 1980’s. I have previously used dated philadelphia cream cheese ads for obvious reasons, so when i found this footage it felt perfectly cohesive to fit in with my jib tape series. the second interlude, the “wooder” vs “water” pronunciation was found footage that i pieced together from various videos that i used python scripts to pull legally from the youtube channels they were hosted on. audio from certain videos paired with other found footage made for the appropriate region specific second interlude that i was envisioning.
