The Full Bloom episode of the Project Spoke documentary series connects with women BMX riders from a wide range of ages, experience, and locals. And touches upon acceptance, injuries, overcoming fears, and so much more. This is a great watch. Shout-out to all the ladies in the house!  

There’s no other facet of BMX that I’m more excited about than the growth and progression of women in BMX. I remember when Nina Buitrago first started riding and she rolled up to the China Banks in NYC with Vic Ayala. That was the late 90s and the only other female rider I had known of at that time was Erin Donato (shout-out New Jersey). My friends and I thought it was the coolest thing ever seeing a girl stoked on riding BMX. It pains me to think that two decades have passed and some men still can’t accept seeing women ride BMX.
